About Anima
Contemplative writing for the inner life. Without dogma, without cringe.
Anima is an English-language magazine on spirituality, mindfulness, and contemplative life — published under Onde Media. We write about Buddhist practice, Stoic philosophy, Sufi poetry, Christian mysticism, Advaita Vedanta, and the secular traditions that have grown around them.
What we don't do: crystals, horoscopes, twin flames, 5D consciousness, or any of the vocabulary that turns serious inner work into a consumer product. What we try to do: bring real scholarship and honest reflection to questions that matter.
Traditions we cover
Teachers and thinkers we return to
Pema Chödrön, Stephen Batchelor, Thich Nhat Hanh, Robert Wright, Sam Harris (on meditation, not politics), Marcus Aurelius, Epictetus, Rumi (via serious translators), Meister Eckhart, Julian of Norwich, Ram Dass, Krishnamurti, Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj. Not a closed canon — the thinking is what matters.
